WHAT TOPICS ARE COVERED?
These disruptive AI technologies have already drastically changed how businesses operate
What does “AI in business” mean? This includes a variety of topics in the overlap of digital change, artificial intelligence and business. In other words – all the methods and tools of AI and digitalization that help companies to transform their processes for better performance. Below are listed few of the topics that characterize our members’ interests.
Auto-decisions
New technologies and machines are crucially important for companies – especially when they deal with large volumes of data and make repeated decisions. Today’s automated decision-making algorithms can outperform human decision-makers on difficult problems.
Predictive analytics
Predictive analytics is the most widely used information technology AI application by businesses today, with an estimated 60% to 80% of enterprises using it.
Industry 4.0
Industry 4.0, smart manufacturings enable many innovative technologies, such as 5G, to build better optimized, more effective businesses.
Virtual agents
A dialogue technology that enables companies to engage customers through natural language messaging.

Why is this network created?
There’s a significant research gap in AI business applications. This gap has also contributed into trust issues regarding AI use in companies. We seek to target this gap with new research.

For whom is this?
The network is dedicated to research and education in artificial intelligence in business disciplines. The network is aimed at a community of researchers, developers, other experts and graduate students.

What activities are there?
The network’s activity is mainly organized by online means. Thematic events are planned 1-2 times per year, including an annual scientific conference. The network is also intended to foster scientific collaboration by connecting researchers for joint article writing. Additionally we seek to enable forming project consortiums for grant proposals.

Is this free?
Yes, participation in the network is free of charge. The society may organize events, of which some have registration fees. The participation at the events is always voluntary.
